Connecting ankles to the low back, part 2

Here is part two of the ankle lesson from May 25th. (I recommend going back and doing part one again to refresh your memory!)

This lesson creates a swing in the legs by helping the low back extend and flex in relation to the ankles extending and flexing.

This aids easy walking, sitting, running, and more.

I am going to go do this lesson now. I’ll let you know how it goes.

I’ll be honest, I fell asleep! All that means is that by bringing attention to my state, I was able to feel what I needed to feel instead of covering it up with “shoulds” and busywork. And I was tired!

Speaking of the ankles, we did a lesson on sliding the leg in class the other day. It’s often a surprise when I mention that the low back and the ankles are intrinsically connected.

The health and mobility of the joints of the legs in relation to the low back cannot be stressed enough. Try this lesson and see how it goes when you take a walk afterwards!

We do not achieve … by repetition, muscle exercising, or by increasing speed and force, but by widening and refining the cerebral control of the muscle range.
