Feldenkrais® is designed to make changes where it counts—in your brain.

The Feldenkrais Method® improves sensory motor intelligence, skill, and efficiency in movement. By exploring novel patterns with awareness and curiosity, you develop new strategies for greater ease, balance, and coordination in everything you do.

This practice is available to anyone, at any level, regardless of where or when you start. With Zoe’s gentle, creative teaching, you can restore lost function not by going backwards to who you were before, but by uncovering a new path forward.

With ongoing practice, you will see:

  • Less stress, greater well being

  • Relief from muscular tension and chronic pain

  • Improved coordination, balance, and flexibility

  • Reduced risk for injury

Quite a while ago, I found Zoe’s lessons and have been doing them regularly. I have done yoga and different sports from an early age, but after just a few of Zoe’s lessons, I felt like I was walking on air.

Feldenkrais is for you if you want to move with awareness, intention, power, and efficiency.

Developed by judo master and physicist, Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, the Feldenkrais Method® is a form of motor-control learning that re-educates long-standing sensorimotor habits. It is based on principles of physics, martial arts, neuroplasticity, biomechanics, and an understanding of learning and human development.

When you move with greater ease, all areas of your life are affected, including the quality of your relationships, the clarity of your decision-making, and the levels of stress and tension in your life.

Who I work with

  • In my private Functional Integration® practice, I work with many people recovering from surgery, accident, or injury, as well as those who are stressed and in pain in daily life.

  • Often, my clients seek a shift in perception to inform a life change or personal growth. In Feldenkrais, we call this “completing the self-image,” where you increase your understanding of your intentions and directions rather than blindly reacting to life in a neurotic and painful way.

  • I also help people living with neurological conditions such as TBIs, stroke, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, dystonia, Parkinson’s disease, and more.

When you move with greater ease, all areas of your life are affected, including the quality of your relationships, the clarity of your decision-making, and the level of stress in your life.

For more background, see New to Feldenkrais in my blog, Vital Clarity.

Sample a short Awareness Through Movement® lesson. Lie down on the floor (not the bed), and press play. As with all Feldenkrais lessons, practice listening to yourself in a kind, meditative, spacious way.

About Zoe

I've been helping people move better, feel better, and live better for over twenty-five years. And, I've been through my own lifelong chronic pain so I get how frustrating it is to want to move better and not know where to look.

I work best with people who are desperate to shift out of old patterns. You'll get maximum benefit when you are ready to make a total investment in your own movement re-education from the ground up. Uncovering new movement is a training. It is not a quick-fix solution. Just think how long it took you to get to where you are now!

If you are ready to get your life back, we are a good fit. Read my story of recovering from chronic pain.
